Hey folks, I was curious—does anyone here run social media accounts purely for fun, not for money or brand building? I started an Instagram page about old-school tech stuff and I really enjoy posting and interacting, but I feel like everyone is so focused on monetizing these days.

I see both sides – it really depends. If you get, say, 500 members, your channel instantly looks more established, which can attract real users. BUT: You have to combine it with actual marketing (like promoting in relevant groups), or else it’s just a dead channel. Only buying members = zero engagement.
Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from. I run a few social media pages just for fun too—one about retro video games—and it’s been super rewarding to just share my passion without any pressure to monetize. It’s refreshing, especially with all the focus on building a brand these days. Sure, you could buy telegram member to boost your reach, but if you're just doing it for fun, focusing on content you love is what matters most. If people vibe with it, they’ll follow along naturally! Keep doing your thing!
