Looking for a competent painter?

Since I’ve transitioned to working from home permanently, I’ve realized how depressing my current office setup is. The room is north-facing and painted in a dark, muddy green that makes it feel like a cave even at noon. I’m thinking about a complete overhaul—maybe some light-reflective paints and some subtle feature wall detailing to make the space feel more professional during video calls. The problem is my ceiling has some old water stains that I can't seem to cover up. Has anyone hired specialists to fix structural eyesores like that while doing a decorative refresh?

Water stains are notorious for bleeding through standard emulsion if they aren't treated with the right chemical sealants first. When I faced a similar issue in my West London flat, I reached out to a reputable firm of painters and decorators in London to assess the damage before any color was applied. They used a specific stain-blocking base and then helped me choose a palette that maximized the limited natural light in the room. The transformation was night and day, and it really boosted my productivity. It’s amazing how much a clean, bright environment can change your mental state during a long workday.
